Nine Consecrated Hosts Sold on Etsy.com.
Etsy.com, an e-commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items and craft supplies, has recently sold 9 consecrated hosts. They were marketed as “real Catholic hosts, consecrated by a priest!!!” And: “Made and consecrated in Germany.” The seller ‘Pentagora” recommended them quote – “to be abused for classic black fairs or black magic purposes.”
Archbishop Víctor “Tucho” Fernández of La Plata, Argentina, Francis’ Amoris Laetitia ghost-writer, published an online diary about his April/May Ad-Limina visit in Rome. In the first paragraph, Fernández writes he was very impressed to stand in Rome before the tomb of San Sebastian and – quote – “see the image of his body pierced by arrows because of his missionary commitment.” The Argentinean blog Wanderer comments, “Everyone knows that the iconography of Saint Sebastian has been used for decades to represent a certain minority that is ecstatic regarding the contemplation of the naked body of Saint …More

Prior to this, I was an "either way is ok" kind of person. However, this news item is the definitive reason why there should NOT be communion in the hand. Everyone receives on the tongue and those who are somehow traumatized by a priest putting the host on their tongue, can receive separately at the end of mass when a special …More

Prior to this, I was an "either way is ok" kind of person. However, this news item is the definitive reason why there should NOT be communion in the hand. Everyone receives on the tongue and those who are somehow traumatized by a priest putting the host on their tongue, can receive separately at the end of mass when a special provision would be made to allow communion in the hand with the understanding that the host must be consumed immediately in front of the priest.
A little common sense and the problem is solved.
Will it happen?
Highly doubtful.

If so, I like what our lovely and gracious news presenter did with her hair. A little long for my taste but the change is good.

I heard that Mother Teresa was very sad seeing people receive the Holy Eucharist/Jesus in the hand rather than on the tongue. Also, I heard a woman, who lives solely off of the Holy Eucharist for over 12 years, say that it hurts her to see so many people receiving in their hands and they drop crumbs from the Host onto the floor where they are trampled on... and the abuses and stealing of the Hosts …More
I heard that Mother Teresa was very sad seeing people receive the Holy Eucharist/Jesus in the hand rather than on the tongue. Also, I heard a woman, who lives solely off of the Holy Eucharist for over 12 years, say that it hurts her to see so many people receiving in their hands and they drop crumbs from the Host onto the floor where they are trampled on... and the abuses and stealing of the Hosts are terrible... Sometimes the priests find the Host tucked into hymnals or worse, people try to steal the Host for mocking or sacrileges and black masses...
