“Civiltà Cattolica” fights Catholic Marriage: The Vatican journal “La Civiltà Cattolica” published by the Jesuits with Papal imprimatur is fighting against the indissolubility of marriage in support of the ultraliberal Cardinal Walter Kasper. The magazine dusts off a concession granted by the Council of Trent for Catholics living in the Greek islands under Venetian rule who with the permission of their Latin bishops attended Orthodox churches and services. The Venetian ambassadors asked the council to allow these Catholics to maintain their “rites,” including the possibility of contracting second marriages in the case of adultery.
