Jackie Evancho: O HOLY NIGHT - Beautiful!
It seems that at times Angels take the shape of humans and allow us to hear their heavenly voices via this human. One of these is the very young, 10 year old American singer, Jackie Evancho. This is "O Holy Night" as interpreted nicely and heavenly by Jackie.
O Holy Night" ("Cantique de Noël") is a well-known Christmas carol composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847 to the French poem "Minuit, chrétiens" (Midnight, Christians) by Placide Cappeau (1808--1877), a wine merchant and poet, who had been asked by a parish priest to write a Christmas poem.
Evancho's first release on a major record label was a Columbia Records EP entitled O Holy Night. It was released on November 16, 2010, and reached rank #1 on Amazon's bestsellers in music during pre-orders on October 19, 2010. It was ranked #3 for the entire year 2010 on Amazon.
