All over Italy, police stop and fine Catholics on their way to church.
Therefore, the Italian Bishops asked the Interior Ministry, LaNuovaBq.it (March 28),
• Are the faithful allowed to visit churches for private prayer?
• May assistants participate at Easter rites to guarantee a minimum of dignity?
• Why are civil marriages allowed but not church marriages?
The two-pages-answer states that the churches are not closed but visiting them must coincide with “situations of necessity.” Thus, a church cannot be visited unless it is on the way to work or to buying cigarettes etc.
Easter liturgies can take place but only the necessary celebrants and acolytes may assist.
Church marriages are not forbidden but participation is limited to the celebrant, the spouses, and the witnesses. Picture: © Mazur, CC BY-NC-SA, #newsQduxnshyjh

@mattsixteen24 I appreciate that quote very much, by faithful St. Athanasius. The evidence is very strong that we are experiencing the tremendous falling away from the Church, as St. Paul wrote would occur.

Jesus, The Holy Word, is our strength.
