Gratitude: The former Benedict XVI will soon publish a new interview-book called, “Last Conversations.” In the interview he says about his relationship with Pope Francis, "Obedience to my successor has never been in question. But there is also a feeling of profound communion and friendship”; and, “When he was elected, I felt, like many others, a spontaneous gratitude to Divine Providence.”
Too Clear: The Civiltà Cattolica has published Pope Francis’ conversation during a private encounter with Polish Jesuits in Krakow. Among other things, Francis complained about some priestly formation programs which, according to him – quote – “run the risk of educating in the light of overly clear and distinct ideas.” Mother Gloria wonders where Francis encountered such programs in a time of widespread confusion and derangement among popes, bishops, priests and seminarians.
