I hate to say this after the Popes resignation, but Cardinal Ratzinger was a major force during Vatican II in the changing of the churches stance on "ecumenism." Which Father Morris's statement is the child of. I am pretty sure this very small element of Vatican II is what is causing all of the trouble that is in the Church. Now I believe that is was done for good cause and reasons back at the time of Vatican II but the fruit that it is bearing is confuseing and slowing eating away at the Church and what Father Morris said is just what comes out of present way that the Church has the truth, but it is not the only Church with some truth.. Everyone just seems to get confused by this any not see that the Catholic Church is the ONLY TRUE CHURCH.

but, lets not forget , regarding the 'New Evangelization', i wish it WERE about calling people to salvation into, through the One True Faith, but it seems to me , from what i have read on it,its about a very general evangilzation to belief in God through Christ, this as witnessed by the Conference on New Evangelization and year of Faith held at the Vatican not long ago, with talks and ideas and conferences on what it all means and how to do it, given by main speakers such as a Female Methodist 'Bishop' and Priests, Bishops from 'Anglicans/Episcopalians'.(cause they are doing sooo well ..),so at that conference on New Evangelization at the Vatican, i am sure they,like Fr. Moriss, sadly weren't /arent expecting or desiring everyone to be/become Catholic. well pointed out though Michael.

and now with with Fr Thomas Rosica (of Salt and Light.tv and lover of a brand of false ecumenism/dialogue ,Canadian, and best friend to schismatic-heretic, excommunicated,pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage former Priest prof.Gregory Baum) ,being the new English media Vatican Spokesperson/translator /press Liason.its only going to get worse. (you may have noticed him being spokesperson at Vatican Press Conferences last 4 days...)
