Now, during the same era (early 20th C) a spinster lady from Hiawatha, Kansas talked the town folk to redirect the yearly Mischief Night (at that point, October 31) to a fun and wholesome town event. So, the AMERICAN celebration of Halloween swept through the country REPLACING Mischief Night which is now October 30 when toilet paper is strewn around and car windows are soaped. So, American Catholics "got it right" in the 1920's, 30's, 40's, 50's....And now in the 21st C., Satanists want their October 31 Mischief Night celebration back and we are to hand it over to them? No way. Go out with your kids and have fun on America's national costume party
