Welcome to the domain of those suffering from a classic case of the “Authority Complex.” Similar to the fictional Alice in Wonderland, we find a world where:

"Nothing would be what it is,
Because everything would be what it isn't.
And contrary-wise
-what it is, it wouldn't be.
And what it wouldn't be,
it would.
You see?"

A personal attack is committed when a person substitutes demeaning or insulting remarks for actual evidence when attacking another person's claim or claims.

However, when their psychosis impinges upon the good order and civility of human rights and human social norms, they must be censured and/or, in the language of the Regula Benedicte, have the "cauterizing action of the iron" brought to bear upon their social interface; they must be severely reprimanded. BUT! If this does not work, the "knife" must be brought to bear upon their social interface. This is not only for their good and their development, but also for the good of society - hence the Hospitals for the Mentally Challenged and the other Hospital Psychiatric Wards.

Here on Gloria.TV, when one encounters such individuals, one ought always to practice restraint and Christian Charity. However, is there a limit after which one, in good conscience, cannot continue? YES, this is the point whereupon the law is called into action.

Therefore, in order to avoid legal action (as a result of their psychosis impinging upon the civility and good of all), they must first be admonished, then severley reprimanded. If this does NOT work, then, as St Benedict prescribes, "the knife" MUST be applied - they are to be cut off from the community (for the aforestated reasons). Whether we see this happen on Gloria.TV or not is entirely up to the moderators, but let us hope and pray that only admonishment is needed.

Berlin: Pope gives communion on the hand

====================================

Comments made on a legitimate news story that has been posted on numerous Catholic websites are not abuse. One is free to either agree or disagree with comments made and this is called “differences of opinions.” If you object to a particular comment then write a substantive rebuttal. It's as simple as that. Attacking the story itself because you personally don't like what it shows demonstrates nothing other than your own immaturity.

If you are incapable of writing a substantive comment or rebuttal (without plagiarizing it) then by you attacking the person making a comment, attacking the news story itself or attacking Gloria.tv for allowing it to be posted, demonstrates your own lack of competence and your infantile mentality. Such posters (you know who you are) are simply little cry-babies lacking the intellectual firepower to respond or to object substantively. Therefore, you respond the only way you are able...by whining and complaining like petulant little children in need of a spanking.

Look, for those of you who have a problem with Gloria.tv, with the videos that are uploaded, or with legitimate comments made about those videos, I have a common sense recommendation.

Sorry, Fr Z, whoever you are but it looks clearly a snub and the pope looks a little confused and unsure. The president is introducing himself well ahead of His Holiness and some bishops and cardinals are turning away, folding their hands, etc. As there is rebellion in the ranks of Germany and Austria, I fear these Princes of the Church are arrogantly snubbing the Vicar of Christ. I really hope not. If they are, may the Lord bring their haughty pride down to the dust. As many as 300 bishops in Austria, I have read, are agitating for an end to the requirement of celibacy, among a number of changes they want. That seems like a large number—how many bishops are there in Austria? In Germany? In any case, God bless and keep our beloved papa and our dear Church.

It is those who sit back and do or say nothing about the abuses in the church that are just as guilty as though who did the abusing. They rather close their eyes and ears and silently hope it will all go away, rather than Defending all that is holy and true. Ideally, Pope Benedict XVI should have led the President along
the line of Papal delegates. However, for a man of his age to
walk in a sideways direction would have been ill advised. It is
more than sufficient for an elderly man to walk in a forward
direction at a sedate pace (a pace that was apparently too
slow for German President Christian Wulff).

When a Head of State visits another country, that visiting
Head of State should be introduced to the senior leaders of
the host country by the hosting Head of State. The visiting
Head of State then introduces the host Head of State to the
visiting delegates. It should be noted that the delegates in
the Papal delegation line were specifically there to meet
and greet the German President and not the Holy Father.

Context is everything and the context of this video explains clearly that this was a political expression of disassitisfaction with this current Pope and his refusal to bow to the will of the German bishops.

Oh no. It broke my heart :(. If the Pope is introducing that dude to the bishops, the dude should be close by the Pope and before he would shake the hands of the bishops, the pope should gesture to the bishops first. But the video shows that the Pope is reaching out to shake the hands of the bishops, but some of the bishops tied their hands closed and did not even greet the Pope.

The video is symptomatic and it points to something that goes much deeper than the disrespect shown here.

Can you imagine how joyous these men would have been, the hugs, the handshakes, the kisses, the fawning that would have taken place in Germany if the pope suddenly decided that priestly celibacy had ended, women priests would be permitted and the Church would condone gay marriage?
