Naturally mid flu season deaths are much higher in number than start and end season.
Italian hospitals had an unusual spike of pneumonia cases at end of December. Its a question of
how long corona has been operating. Elderly people will die. They will die without corona, with corona or because of corona. I would like to see the actual cause of death established. For instance we in Ireland had a death yesterday but it was reported that she had the virus as opposed to it being the cause of her death. "A woman with an underlying illness who contracted Covid-19 has died in the east of the country.

She was being treated in hospital. It is the first death of a patient in Ireland who had an illness and had also been infected. It is understood the patient was an older person." (www.rte.ie/…/1121526-harris-…)

This is unclear to me. I can't judge if she died of the infection or her underlying condition. She was being treated in hospital but for what? It is not said so there in no clarity.
