Be perfect! February 23 2020 VII Sunday of O.T. Dear brothers and sisters, the incredible Good News that Jesus proclaims in the passage from the Gospel of Matthew of next Sunday, February 23, is that we can "live like gods" even though we are not God! In fact, by the merits of his life, passion, death and resurrection, Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit who, with his grace, not only does not destroy our human nature, but purifiyng it progressively from sin, elevates, divinize and enhances it ! Empowered by the grace of the Holy Spirit , as Pope Francis has reminded us several times, we are enabled to do the same thing that God does best: surprise, amaze and move to tears of repentance his enemies with the power, beauty, purity and tenderness of his boundless Love ...
