In the middle of the summer slump, Francis ordered his press office on July 21 to publish a lame declaration against the German Synod.
It claims to “protect the freedom” of the faithful and the bishops by saying that the German Synod doesn’t have the power “to oblige” bishops and faithful to adopt new ways of governance and new approaches to doctrine and morals.
The problem is that Francis is forbidding to others what he himself is doing.
In fact, "new official structures or doctrines" are fine with him after "agreement has been reached [by Francis] at the level of the universal Church", because for him the Church and doctrine are only an expression of the will of the reigning Pope, who can come up at will with whatever new Church or doctrine he desires.

Francis to German bishops: It is my task to bring forth the new church.

Kind of like what was going on when they killed Christ!

Homo loving Fat Box Marx and Batzing are raging over VAtican ruling. Go stomp your feet and cry, little boys.

This Vatican's statement criticizing the German synodal way is NOT a rebuke of their heresies. It's asking to wait until 2023 before initiating 'new official structures or doctrines' that will be agreed at the level of the universal Church

Batzing has indicated Francis has placed limits on the synodal process and no longer wants a losing of celibacy or female ordination.

Aside from that... a supermajority of the bishops will oppose changes to Church doctrine regarding sexuality. I hope in the end, Francis's Synod on Synodality is a total flop. 90% of the Church does not want it. No more "changes". You'd think these idiots would have learned their lesson when they implemented the "changes" of Vatican II and the "Novus Ordo".

@Kenjiro M. Yoshimori I think they did learn the lesson and only too well. Everything is going very well, in their view, although probably not fast enough.

Summary: The Vatican statement clarifies that the initiative underway in Germany "does not have the power to oblige bishops and the faithful" to "new ways of governance and new approaches to doctrine and morality." The invitation is to flow into the synodal way of the universal Church.

For months, probably years, we’ve been told by all manner of papal sycophants and self-appointed papal interlocutors that the Church in Germany with the Synodale Weg, isn’t at risk of schism.

Nevertheless, the majority of German bishops will promote and pay for such events. The Vatican will not intervene here and the reform gyroscope will continue to turn as in the last decades.

I would not be too sure. Already I read that "Fat Boy" Cardinal Marx and other German bishops are furious today at the VAtican and Francis. Perhaps, for once, Francis did something half-way good.
