It won't, I believe, ever become a formal split like the last one. Both groups will pay lip-service to being part of one Apostolic Church, we're already doing that now. But already the divisions are clearly in place and are no longer simply ideological or over the liturgical rubrics
Traditional Latin Mass aka "Extraordinary Form" parishes will remain faithful to the Pre Vatican II Church while the Novus Ordo go on their own way with one innovation after another, until the two are all but unrecognizable and irrevocable.

a State of Grace. He then devotes a minute or so clarifying what that means.
Most if not all of the newcomers start squirming when they realize they're NOT in a State Of Grace and stay in their pews during Communion. Our pastor hasn't ever had to deny anyone incorrectly receiving on the hand because by the time he's done explaining The State Of Grace and the terrible blasphemy of sacriligiously receiving our Lord Jesus in a mortally sinful state, those people don't want to do it. This solves the discomfort of them receiving on the tongue rather nicely, I must say.
:DA few get offended, pointedly get up while he is speaking and leave the church right then and there. Ironically, this compounds their Mortal Sins since they haven't truly attended the full Mass on a Holy Day Of Obligation..
