To me, it looks like a1970's style airport mall. Where is the quiet, the beauty, the dark corners? The art? The subtlety? Bland IKEA colours and shapes - I think it is a huge monstrosity. How can traditional Ukrainian Catholic Faith be expressed in this tasteless cave? The Church in London is absolutely beautiful compared to this. How sad.

Light in a church isn't just a matter of visibility, beauty, or whatever else: light is part of the rite, is part of the Holy Mass, is part of the way of praying and adoration.
The longer this aspect will be ignored, the most number of churches will be built as something else than a Sacre Place.
Na tisoče romarjev se je 22. avgusta zbralo v ukrajinskem mestu Starun na slovesnem odprtju novo zgrajene katoliške bazilike. Slovesnost je vodil monsinjor Kenneth Nowakowski, ukrajinski katoliški škof v Londonu, udeležili pa so se je nadškof Sviatoslav Ševčuk in več kot dvajset škofov.
Tisíce pútnikov sa 22. augusta zhromaždili v ukrajinskom meste Starun na slávnostnom otvorení novopostavenej katolíckej baziliky. Slávnosť viedol Mons. Kenneth Nowakowski, ukrajinský katolícky biskup v Londýne, ktorý sa zúčastnil na slávnosti za účasti hlavného arcibiskupa Sviatoslava Ševčuka a viac ako dvadsiatich biskupov.
