I don't know... If someone says they are more concerned with offending God than fearing hell makes me think they're not really convinced what they are risking! I understand and agree that the hope is that we will move toward perfect contrition. But an act of perfect contrition seems to not be possible if we aren't convinced of the fires of hell.
