What have I read on the papal crisis? Isn't St Thomas enough? He's not only a Doctor of the Church, but the Doctor Communis.
As to writings concerning this pope (or at least his legitimacy), I have looked at various articles, the names of whose authors I don't remember. I find them disillusioned papolators. Their exaggerated concept of the papacy and of papal infallibility impells them to find a reason to hold that Francis is an anti-pope or that Benedict never resigned. IMHO, in many ways he's just not a good pope.
On the other hand, he cleared up the question of the validity of SSPX absolution and has very good relations with the Society. I have been told that SSPX priests are sometimes hearing Confessions at diocesan parishes.
