Diocese Denies SSPX Couple to Become Godparents

Hmmm....... sensationalism, yet again. How true is the Sister's claim, and, is the SSPX not in communion with Rome?

The Election of Francis Was Orchestrated

Oh please.....this is nothing new in the Roman Church. We have survived Medici Popes, Borgia Popes, Popes who were more politicians than spiritual Fathers. We shall survive this one, and there is a reason he was allowed to be Pope. Maybe, just maybe, we ought to do a lot of introspection, and find out WHY God allowed this is be.

“Gaudete et Insultate”: Francis Points Finger - at Himself

So, let's make a positive comment here - this is the Vicar of Christ, whatever we may think of him! He calls for Christians to not only have an academic knowledge of Christ, but a mystical knowledge as well. This means instead of childishly following laws in a book, living a Christian Life flows naturally from the heart. That distractions are rife within society, and therefore the church too. He calls for Christians to not only have an academic knowledge of Christ, but a mystical knowledge as well. This means instead of childishly following laws in a book, living a Christian Life flows naturally from the heart. That distractions are rife within society, and therefore the church too. Finally, a Christian who is dour, militant, judgemental and unhappy, has NOT experienced the freedom of Jesus the Christ, and is still in the chains of human immaturity, and therefore spiritual arrested development. I think one ought to always pierce the surface of human frailty, look for the Good, and present it - especially when the legitimate Vicar of Christ speaks thusly. 'What does Gaudete et Exultate teach ME', rather than 'how can I use this to judge others', is a more Christian way to approach this, in my opinion. 🤗 😇 🙂

Argentinian Nun: Francis Allows Contraception

Gosh, a similar things has happened with the Polish, having had a rather famous Pope in JPII. The clergy and religious have appropriated authority unto themselves, and have become little pontiffs in their respective Parishes in Poland. They even tell us outsiders how to run our respective Churches, and what's allowed and what's not, e.g. a parish priest of Gdansk told a parishioner of St Etheldreda …More

Bishop Resigns: Because He Did not Uphold Unforgiveness Beyond the Grave

Hmmmmm, but the traditional Irish are like this! They are very rubrical and childish in their understanding of God and His mercy: law above love, their's is an Old Testament god. The younger generations are more loving and those who are Christian, tend to be more balanced these days.

UN’s radical agenda pushes sex, LGBT education starting in kindergarten

I need to say this: the singular is "Agendum", the plural is, "Agenda". Why do people not observe this? Mattsixteen24, please correct the Latin. Thanks.

Archbishop Oscar Romero Was A Traditionalist

The new Cathedral in Knoxville is gorgeous. However, the approach to the Sacred Liturgy, and in particular, Sacred Catholic Music, remains in the the 80s.

Beautiful New US-Cathedral. The new Cathedral in Knoxville, TN, was just dedicated on Saturday, March …

Fabulous! However, their website advertises Music Ministry and demonstrably has no desire for a professional choir. It is a "bring your voice or instrument and come" 70s nonsense! 🤨

London's Rosary Shrine. The front of the Priory Church of Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Dominic, …

What is the liturgy like here? I remember visiting this church in Belsize Park as a child (being from Highgate myself), and not being impressed. St Joe's in Highgate had superior music; we did little Byrd Masses, and Gregorian Masses.

The world promises you comfort, but you were not made for comfort

Meanwhile, the Patron of Europe, St Benedict the Great, asks his monks, "do you want to see good days? Come...." and, "salvation begins now, not after we have died". All meaning that we are, to firstly seek God, then all will fall in line, and joy, peace and good times this side of eternity is indeed God's plan for us. One must be careful not to interpret "comfort" happiness, no, it is rather, luxury.

A Church Not Engaged in Self-Destruction

Gosh, poor St Andrew's: the M.O. of the Canadian church for quite some time. They seem to continue to be rather down-at-heel and peasantry. Nevertheless, in Ontario and Quebec, one finds a resurgence of great Roman Catholic beauty, e.g. St Michael's Cathedral, Toronto; ND Basilica in Montreal, etc....

Cardinal Schönborn Celebrates Gay Lobby Liturgy

One cannot see how singing the magnificent Mozart Requiem for all the dead victims of AIDS within a paraliturgical event for promoting Life, makes His Eminence 'pro-gay'. In his cathedral, His Eminence preached a splendid homily of pro-life issues the other weekend (the great feast of St Martin de Tours). Maybe news reporting in the above article needs to either be, 1. More comprehensive in order to support its claims; or, 2. More responsible in its praxis, and therefore, more Christian.

Francis Wants to Join Methodists "in the Breaking of the Bread"

May we please have the full context of this quote? Thanks. I would like to think it is taken out of context (yet again!) and the Holy Father completed his thought with "one day..". That is, "we will be able to join one another in the breaking of the Bread, one day."

Austria, Proclaiming Catholic Doctrine on Homosexuality Is A Crime

Quite, however, if I am not mistaken, the Roman Catholic Church (as per the Catechism) does not call any STD a "punishment of God". Yet again, it is the mixing of truth with untruth that makes these reports diminish in credibility.
