knowing the future to change the present!
Gospel of Sunday, February 17, 2019

Dear brothers and sisters, It's been a long time that theoretical physicists are trying to explore the possibility of traveling through space-time… They say that while the travel to the past it’s almost impossible, the travel into the future would be, theoretically, possible if men succeed in finding the way to travel to the light speed.

The reason why men is fascinated by traveling through space-time is because knowing the future he could be able to change the present in order to be happy…but so far traveling through space-time is possible only in the science fiction movies…

But, dear brothers and sisters, let me tell you a piece of good news. To us, the Christians, is given an extraordinary opportunity. In fact we christian believe that Jesus, true God and true Man, has coming in the midst of us not from the future, but from God where there’s no past nor future, but the eternal present, just to open for us a "future-gate"…
In fact, first of all, Jesus in his life anticipated the future so that in contemplating Him we can see the "new man" created by God in justice and true sanctity. Furthermore through the Gospel, especially the speech of the beatitudes, Jesus allow us to understand in advance the outcome of the choices we make in the present.

That's why He gives us His Holy Spirit and invites us to live his life’s style, that is a life lived in the beatitudes’ style, in order to achieve Resurrection.
Sometimes, dear friends, I find myself wondering: if following the beatitudes’ style our lives right here and right now, in spite of troubles, are filled with love, light and enthusiasm ... what an explosion of joy will burst forth in our hearts, when, for God's mercy, we will enter, one day, into the Eternal Life where we’ll experience our Heavenly Father's embrace of light?
