Benedict XVI reiterated this in his brief, final speech in Cameroon, the first stage of his trip to Africa. Retracing moments of the visit that was marked by the delivery of the working document for the next Synod of Bishops, the Pope underlined that the Church’s compassionate and charitable commitment is a sure sign of hope.
