Painted Churches of Texas.

This collection of churches proudly display their German and Czech heritage and surround the town of Schulenburg, Texas in the tiny communities of Shiner, Ammansville, Dubina, High Hill and Praha. These churches interiors offer an overwhelming feast for the eyes with stained glass windows and statues too numerous to count with multi-spired altars and ornate stenciled artwork that covers seemingly every inch of the structures. Wow!!! Very beautiful, thank you. However, the choice of music is quite apart in style from the art which it purports to display.

Here, the art and music can't be saying different things: the art speaks of the 'old country' and the style of visual art peculiar to where the immigrants came from; the music speaks of a 1960s architechtural stylistic expression. In other words the music gives the image of a 1960s church building with guitars and drums; the actual art shown is neo-gothic, pre-rafaelite (esque) architecture, which evokes the image of incense and lots of Latin Chant and pipe-organ music.

Therefore, this video would do better with a more appropriate style of music - faithful to the architecture which is being celebrated.
Just an observation 🙂 ✍️
