Mysterious Retirement of the Archbishop of Karaganda

Kazakhstan

Last Saturday, 60 years old Archbishop Jan Lenga, of Karaganda Kazakhstan, unexpectedly went into retirement. Lenga has been a bishop in Kazakhstan since the establishment of the Apostolic prefecture of central Asia in 1991. It is unclear why he left his position. At the same time his famous Auxiliary Bishop Athanasius Schneider was moved from the position of an Auxiliary in Karaganda to the position of an Auxiliary in Astana, the country’s capital. It is highly unusual that an auxiliary bishops is moved from one diocese to another. Due to international flight connections, Astana is, however, much better connected to the world than Karaganda, which is in the middle of the desert. According to some sources, there are rumors that Bishop Schneider will be assigned to a job in Rome and will need to travel frequently.

Burial Space For Victims of Abortionist

USA

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has set aside burial space for the hundreds of victims of notorious abortionist Kermit Gosnell. Gosnell killed children who were born alive and stored their bodies in jars in his office. They are currently being kept by civil authorities as evidence. Auxiliary Bishop John McIntyre said: “Every effort will be made to identify the babies as individuals and bury them that way. If we can move peoples’ hearts through this story to see the true sacredness of all human life, then we can say that these infants did not die in vain,” the bishop added.

Retreat as a Preparation for the Beatification of John Paul II

Vatican

Benedict XVI has chosen the French Carmelite Francois-Marie Lethel to preach this year’s Lenten Retreat at the Vatican. Father Lethel is the secretary of the Pontifical Academy of Theology. He has written extensively on the lives of the saints. The theme for the retreat will be: “The light of Christ in the heart of the Church: John Paul II and the theology of the saints.” The Vatican has indicated that the retreat is intended to prepare the participants not only for their Lenten spiritual journey but also for the beatification of Pope John Paul II on May 1. Preaching the Lenten retreat to the Pope is often the first step to an ecclesiastical career.

Three Ways of Receiving Holy Communion

Internet

Louis-Marie from the blog fides-et-ratio.over-blog.fr has posted three pictures showing three different ways of distributing communion. 1. In the Byzantine Rite the priest says while distributing Holy Communion: The servant of God N. receives Holy Communion for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. 2. In the Tridentine Rite the priest says: “« Corpus Domini nostri Iesu Christi custodiat animam tuam in vitam aeternam » The Body of our Lord Jesus Christ may preserve your soul for eternal life. 3. In the ordinary form of the Roman Rite the priest says: The Body of Christ. Amen. Louis-Marie calls this a small comparison without making any comment.

🤮 @Los hijos de la Virgen hijos de la Virgen"--well, Gloria.tv, I hope you kick out this user. You can see for yourself, all these "spam" ads where they claim that the Beatification of Pope John Paul II is "the work of masons, the AntiChrist, and satan". 🤦

Cannoli, you make a valid point about the burial of the innocent lives. I agree wholeheartedly that the pro-deathers will most certainly create some noise about the burials, then on the other hand, if it could be done "quietly & with no press coverage" they may back down some. That's how the Abortion Industry works. Poor, poor babies!

It would be great to se the Auxiliary Bishop Schneider go to Rome. He has widely and openly spoke about the Communion in the hand as Disrespectful and Promotes it On The Tongue while Kneeling.

While this effort is noble, compassionate and one of the six corporal works of mercy, I think the plan will come under resistance. Aside from the obvious "rights to privacy" (names of the mothers will have to be obtained), abortion activists do not want unborn babies to be thought of as human. Therefore, they would argue, to bury them would create "confusion" in the minds of many women who are contemplating abortion.
