Tribute to Admiral James A. Lyons, USN (Ret)
"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived." -- Gen. George Patton
The greatness of a nation could be measured by the moral luster of its leaders. And this ceremony is a fitting way to express our gratitude to a leader who served America with honor and moral integrity.
This solemn military funeral is for Admiral James “Ace” Lyons who died on December 12, 2018 at the age of 91 after a long life of service.
After graduating from the Naval Academy in 1952, Admiral Lyons served in the U.S. Navy for 35 years. As Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet during the Cold War, he protected America from the Soviet communist threat.
As a highly decorated warrior, Admiral Lyons also engaged in the struggle to preserve moral values within the military by opposing immoral policies that would lead to the acceptance of sins against nature.
More recently, Admiral Lyons’ devotion to protect America prompted him to write a forward for the new book “Islam and the Suicide of the West” by Luiz Solimeo.
He wrote: “... Islamic fundamentalism is actually a continuation of the communist ideology of the twentieth century…. the two combine efforts to destroy Western democracies. Islam, in effect, is the communism of our day.”
Powerful words from a man who spent most of his life fighting communism.
