For which glory do I live: mine or God's? (Pope Francis)
Resurrection Sunday, April 21, 2019

Dear brothers and sisters, in the Resurrection of Jesus the Glory of God shines in all its splendor.
Pope Francis in the catechesis of last Wednesday commenting on the words spoken by Jesus at the Last Supper contained in the passage from John's Gospel (Jn 17: 5.5) "Father, the hour has come: glorify your Son", said: "Jesus asks for glory , a request that seems paradoxical while His Passion is coming. What kind of glory is He asking for ? Glory in the Bible indicates the revealing of God, is the distinctive sign of his saving presence among men. Now, Jesus is the one who shows God's presence and salvation in a definitive way, and he does so on his Passover of Death and Resurrection: elevated on the cross, He is glorified (see Jn 12: 23-33). There, on the Cross, God finally reveals his glory: he removes the last veil and surprises us like never before. In fact, we discover that the glory of God is all love: pure, mad and unthinkable Love, beyond all limits and measures ".
A love that will provoke that explosion of Light which is the Resurrection. Dear brothers and sisters, let us allow the Light of the Risen Christ to invade our hearts and fill it with its love, life and joy.
