There is this mindset that permeates some contributors on this forum that it is somehow un-Catholic to disagree with Church hierarchy and that every decree that comes from a Bishop's mouth is infallible. Even the Pontiff is not immune from actions that are inconsistent with Church tradition. I could cite many examples. Although I do not consider Santorum the best candidate for the renewal of America …More

Even the Pontiff is not immune from actions that are inconsistent with Church tradition. I could cite many examples. Although I do not consider Santorum the best candidate for the renewal of America, I applaud him for challenging the USCCB. Real Catholics are those who uphold tradition, have fidelity to the magisterium, and challenge priests, bishops, and yes Church hierarchy when their actions are inconsistent with Church teaching.
