This is a one act play authored by Dr. Eduardo (Jay) Olaguer and originally presented at the Lifeteen program of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Spring, TX on Palm Sunday, 2010. Based on the story of the Transfiguration, the play weaves together various strands from the Old and New Testaments, and from the Eucharistic liturgies of both eastern and western Catholic churches. Its aim is to reveal the glory of God, that is the super density and brilliance of the Word incarnated in Jesus Christ historically and in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The play integrates action with sacred music, including Durufle's choral rendition of Tantum Ergo and the famous English hymn, Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence. It can be performed in under an hour, and is an appropriate tool for the catechesis of older teens and adults.

Besides the script for the play, related material can be found in Chapter 9 (The Bread of Life) in my first book entitled, "Born From Above" (Ambassador Books, 1998), used copies of which can still be ordered from www.amazon.com.

The script can now be downloaded from Amazon's Kindle Books.

I had forgotten in writing the credits at the end of the video to acknowledge Ed Masson, who recorded the play on his camera, thus making the video possible.

Also, anyone who wishes to see the original script (some of the actors had forgotten a few of their lines) should send me a note, and I will gladly send the script to him/her.
