Conservative Cardinal Defends Francis

Curia Cardinal Marc Ouellet has attacked those who criticise Pope Francis. Talking to the press while at the meeting of the European bishops in Poznan, Poland, he called unspecified «attacks» against Francis «very serious», «unjust» and not «a positive response». He also noticed that there is a «certain rebellion» in the Church. The pro-Francis oligarch media tied Ouellet’s words to the revelations of Archbishop Viganò who has given evidence that Francis himself participated in hushing up the homosexual abuses of Cardinal McCarrick.

Cardinal Shows Selective «Shame»

After a – likely orchestrated - leaking of a blown-up report on abuses in Germany, Cologne Cardinal Rainer Maria Woelki has declared that – quote- «he is ashamed of his Church». The German bishops have shamelessly coluded with abortion and allow the administration of the morning-after pill in their hospitals. In both cases, children are not only abused but murdered. There are many abuses in the Church but the bishops are only ashamed of those abuses which the media tell them to be ashamed of.

Bishop Accused of Nun Rape – Nuns’ Congretation Defends Him

Jalandhar Bishop Franco Mulakkal who is alleged of repeatedly having assaulted a Missionaries of Jesus sister between 2014 and 2016, handed over responsibility of his diocese awaiting the result of an inquiry. Mulakkal stated that there were "several contradictions" in the evidence collected against him by the police. Five nuns protested in Kochi, Kerala, against the bishop. But the Kerala Catholic Bishop Council slammed the nuns' protest saying that it has "crossed all limits". The Missionaries of Jesus, the congregation to which the allegedly raped sister belongs, stands by the beleaguered prelate.

Cardinal Creszenzio Sepe of Naples, Italy, has celebrated in his cathedral the wedding of Loredana and Lorenzo who both are affected by down syndrom. They got to know each other through the Comunità di Sant’Egidio. Dr Bobus
Certain cardinals are closing their ranks. Some years ago I spent several hours with a very well respected and well known monsignor (RIP). When the conversation turned to the stories about Bernardin, the msgr said that US Cardinals closed ranks (led by OConnor, who had no use for Bernardin), and suddenly the stories stopped.
BTW, Ouellet seems overrated.
