The bones cannot belong to Emanuala Orlandi

The bones found on the grounds of the Roman Nunciature belong to a female aged between 25 to 35 years, stated Giovani Arcudi, the director of the Center for Legal Medicine from the University of Tor Vergata. He is still waiting for the results of the DNA test but, according to the external examination, the bones cannot belong to the rest of the body of Emanuala Orlandi, the Italian girl missing since the 80s.

Homosexual subcultures”

A new study for the Ruth Institute shows that “homosexual subcultures” within Catholic seminaries have contributed to creating an environment where homosexual clergy were more likely to abuse minors. The report also shows that the vast majority of priestly sex abuse victims were boys whereas usually in sex abuse of minors, two-thirds of victims are girls. According to the study results: ease of access to boys relative to girls accounts for just about one-fifth of this disparity.

More baptized where there are fewer priests

Luigi Accatoli noticed recently on his blog that there are more baptized people in places where there are fewer priests. For example: Europe has 42.6 % of the whole account of priests and 22% of the baptized. In Central America, there are 5.3 % of the priests and 11.6 % of the baptized. "This gives us a lot to think about", commented Accatoli.

The killer killed

The killer of an Italian priest and his brother was recently injured in an armed attack in western Turkey. Oguzhan Akdin was sentenced to 18 years and 10 months of jail after killing Santa Maria Church priest Andrea Santoro on Feb. 5, 2006 in the Black Sea province of Trabzon, amid widespread anger in Islamic countries over the publication of caricatures of Prophet Muhammad in European newspapers. The killer was freed in 2016.
