Very nicely done! Only one question: is it truly accurate to depict men attending Mass in 1450 wearing hats or hoods inside churches during Mass? My understanding is that it was normative by reason of immemorial custom for women to have their heads covered, and men to keep their heads uncovered, during all liturgical functions inside and outside places of worship. Very nicely done! Only one question: is it truly accurate to depict men attending Mass in 1450 wearing hats or hoods inside churches during Mass? My understanding is that it was normative by reason of immemorial custom for women to have their heads covered, and men to keep their heads uncovered, during all liturgical functions inside and outside places of worship. That is why the immemorial custom was translated into multiple decrees of the Sacred Congregation for Rites and then the Code of Canon Law of 1917...
