Well articulated Bishop Strickland!!! You certainly did nail it. Especially when you reiterated that Bishops and others already have the "tools and means" to remedy for what ails the Church. Unfortunately, there are a number of your Prelate brothers, including Pope Francis, who have brought into the notion of " God made some humans Homosexual![?] This line of thinking undermines the first step of healing, "To own the sin [behaviour]". Would any of us apply the same thinking for alcoholics? drug abusers? pedophiles? Robbers? Thieves? etc.etc. We all need to acknowledge the reality of "evil actions", [sinfulness if prefered] - Wayward catholics are sorely in need of forgiveness and reparation not 'mumbo jumbo' remedies and certainly not to be told "You need to accept God has given you this Gift" If that be true for homosexuality, then why not for pedophiles, murders, and other notorious criminal behaviour. The very idea that God is the culprit for homosexuality is not only an insult, a slap across our Lord's face, but also it flies in the face of common sense. Habitual behaviour is just that, habits brought about by repetition of a given behaviour.
