No Delegation: During his visit to Georgia, Pope Francis celebrated a morning Mass in a Tbilisi football stadium in front of a few thousand people. The Pope hoped in vain that a delegation of Georgian Orthodox bishops would be present. Instead the patriarchate issued a statement saying that Orthodox attendance at a Catholic liturgy was not possible - quote - “as long as dogmatic differences exist.”

Dashed Faith: Patrick Archbold sings the praises of the traditionalists in The Remnant saying that they put great hope in Pope Benedict, only to have their faith dashed. Quote: “This was made worse by the Pope Emeritus’ abandonment of his flock because he could not bear the thought of another long trip. They hear these things even as they pack up their children in the van each Sunday and drive, sometimes for hours, just so their children can have what centuries of Catholics took for granted.”

Confused Cardinal: Nigerian Cardinal John Onaiyekan has said during a three-day interreligion conference in Abuja that God made no mistake when he – according to the Cardinal - brought Christians and Moslems to Nigeria. Quote: “The basic message is that nobody should think you have a monopoly of God. That this God belongs to all of us."

People Abandon German Church: More than two thirds of the Germans wish to abolish religious education in public schools according to a recent opinion poll. For many years the decadent German Church has anticipated and put into practice the ultraliberal proposals of Pope Francis.
