A rare piece of vintage Scottish Catholic heritage. The restoration of Pluscarden Abbey as a Monastic Community after 500 years. The community was founded by Benedictine monks from Prinknash Abbey. This video commemorates the Mass offered on the that wonderful occasion on 8th September 1948, the Feast of the Nativity of Our Blessed Lady. The Abbey and grounds were gifted by the late Lord Colum Crichton-Stuart, a noted Scottish Catholic layman.
