A free country? Talk show host Barbara Simpson has defended San Francisco archbishop Salvatore Cordileone who is being attacked by media and politicians for asking teachers in Catholic high schools not to participate in immoral public activities like handing out condoms, escorts to abortion clinics or gay marriage. Cordileone’s answer to his critics: “I respect your right to employ or not employ whomever you wish to advance your mission. I simply ask the same respect from you.” Simpson adds: “The schools of the archdiocese are private and Church run. Politicians have no business interfering, and anyone who doesn’t like what they teach is invited to go to public schools. It’s a free country. So far.”
Wrong Accusations: David Shaneyfelt and Joseph Maher write in the “Homiletic and Pastoral Review” that some 6,000 priests in the U.S. have been accused of sexual misconduct. They refer to the John Jay Report, commissioned by the U.S. bishops in 2004…More

VIP Gays: The Vatican has for the first time given a group of dissenting U.S. homosexuals of the New Ways Ministry VIP seats at Francis Wednesday audience. They were invited to sit up front by Monsignor Gänswein who is in charge of the tickets. In 1999 the Vatican prohibited the New Ways Ministry co-founders, Sister Jeannine Gramick, and Fr Robert Nugent, from ministering to gays because they refused church teaching on the intrinsic evil of homosexual acts. Nugent abided by the directive and died last year. Gramick continued her ministry and was on hand for yesterday’s audience. Under the previous two popes New Ways had tried unsuccessfully to get VIP seats. This time, the Nuncio in Washington and the archbishop of San Francisco supported the request.

Al parecer hay una doble moral ( Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone & Vincent Nichols ) por los que aparentemente ahora dicen defender la Iglesia eso me recuerda la doble postura de Bergoglio en Argentina a favor de las uniones civiles gay y me recuerda también Dolan que todos creían que el era un defensor de la Iglesia hasta que se quito el disfraz.
