Rev. Thomas McHale, 53, priest of Our Blessed Lady Immaculate Parish in Blackhill, County Durham, England, said in his Good Friday sermon that Christ had an erection when he died on the cross.
Indulging in his sick fantasies, the 53-year-old American citizen said that blood would have rushed to Christ's lower body as a result of the execution by crucifixion.
A parishioner explained to TheTimes.co.uk (11 May): "He told people that Jesus died with an erection. The audience was shocked. There were young families there".
Complaints about the "vulgar" sermon led to an "ongoing" investigation, the spokesman for the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle said. Good Friday was 29 March. The matter could be 'investigated' in 10 minutes. 'Ongoing investigation' therefore means that there is no will to come to a conclusion.

The Priesthood is a sewer. As evidenced by the relentless and continual waves of filth flooding out from it, ceaselessly. May God help us, and deliver His Church out of the vile clutches of the abominable monsters who now control her.

GTV allows every manner of blasphemy, but you’d better not say anything against the Jews!

I saw this in the daily newspaper a couple of days ago. I didn't post it as I didn't want to repeat the blasphemy. This sick pervert should be laicised. End of. Please email the diocese and complain and ask for him to be removed/laicised Contacts - Diocese of Hexham & Newcastle

I have just read a report entitled Erection on the Cross? No Blasphemy Off-Limits – a shockingly vulgar claim made by your priest (whom I decline to entitle “Father”) Thomas McHale, 53, priest of Our Blessed Lady Immaculate Parish in Blackhill, County Durham, England, who said in his Good Friday sermon that Christ had an erection when he died on the cross. Good Friday! For pity’s sake!

In the Gloria TV report, your “spokesman” refers to an “ongoing investigation”. It is insulting enough that the bishops do not exercise their duty of office by speaking directly to their people but instead pay good money to lay people to have them waffle / spin on their behalf. That is bad enough, but to further insult our intelligence by pretending that there is any need for an “investigation” when the evil was broadcast publicly by a man who -self-evidently – should never have been ordained, is an insult too far.
I am a Scot who lived and taught Religious Education in England for many years, some of them in your diocese, so it is of immense concern to me that young people are being subjected to the influence of this terrible evil-doing priest.
Please move now to laicise him, without delay. Otherwise, you, Bishop Wright along with everyone copied into this email, at whatever level of authority each of you hold to put right this scandal, will be held accountable, as will McHale, at your Judgment.

Update: I have now forwarded my letter to the priest, McHale, himself.
