Dear Fr.

Your presentation was well done. At approximately 4:00 into the video, I was truly surprised. Never before have I witness this kind of passion from you and, to me, this is a very good thing. When selectively utilized and when it is done with discretion, powerful emotion evokes interest as well as attentiveness among the listeners.

Skeptics (atheists) use Luke 14 as one example of many contradictions in the Gospels. The same Jesus who preaches Love, here tells us to hate our father, mother, wife, children and brothers. On it's surface, it is a contradiction. But, as you've explained “hate” is a relative term and not an absolute.

Compared to the overwhelming Love (our whole heart, whole soul, and with our whole mind) that we are to have for Christ, by comparison, everything else would seem as if it is hated. In truth, our fellow creatures are certainly still loved but to a much lesser degree than our Love for Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
