Why are so many Christians not interested on the prophecies in the Bible?
They are not interested in the Old Testament, because many of them believe that they are no longer under the Law of God. But the church officials had not do their job to teach them.
They don´ t know that the sacrificial law and the ceremonial law of God and the spring feasts were fulfilled by Jesus Christ, and that the fall feasts will be fullfilled upon His return during the tribulation and His reign in the Kingdom. But the moral law of God, the ten commandments, has not changed, because the moral law is the character of God and will never change.
The book of revelation is difficult to understand, because it contains symbols that must be interpreted by scriptures. And because they do not know the Old Testament, they understand not the meaning of the symbols in the book of revelation.
We have to have that foundation.
Many Christians believe therefore that we are no longer under the Law of God, and therefore do not read the Old Testament.
And because there is no teacher to teach them about the scriptures, they know nothing about the biblical calendar, the appointed festivals of the LORD (Leviticus 23).
Therefore they can not understand the signs of the times.
"The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you, and hem you in on every side.
They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you." Luke 19, 43-44

The teachings of the Church are still not changed, the Law is not changed! We should receive Communion on knees on the tongue, but the practice is gone!
