Faculty Salaries at Catholic Universities Among Highest in U.S.

Georgetown University ranks as the highest paying Catholic college in the country, with average full professors taking in more than $170,000 in 2012-13, according to The Chronicle of Higher Education. Georgetown is ranked 15th among all American colleges listed in the annual report from the American Association of University Professors. Columbia University in New York tops the list as the best paying college in the country, with professors taking in an average of $212,300 a year. But Georgetown pays more than Vanderbilt University, Dartmouth College, Brown University, Cornell University and other wealthy institutions.
