I will either be filing this under: "Too much too little too late" or "Fake Honor". It's good that Ploumen is so honest about how she would wish to use this honor to indicate an endorsement of her work for abortion and contraception. This is how the rest of the world sees it too - inside and outside the Church. Perhaps the Vatican ought to do away with meaningless formalities.
