Cardinal Burke Calls Iran "Bloodthirsty" and a "Nuclear Threat"

U.S. Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke has downplayed reports of growing tensions between the Vatican and the U.S. administration of Donald Trump.
In an interview with IlGiornale.it on April 11, he stated that “the narrative of an ongoing clash is exaggerated”. Leo XIV “has invited everyone to work for peace, as he rightly should.”
Regarding the attacks and bombings of Iran, Cardinal Burke thinks: “One may have differing views on how to address the problem, but one certainly cannot think that the situation in Iran was good prior to the attacks by the United States and Israel. I believe that, in his view, Trump also has peace as his goal - meaning he seeks to restore internal peace in Iran and in its relations with other nations. This is because the regime represents a nuclear threat to both its neighbors and others.”
He also added that he prays “for the freedom of the Iranian people, who have suffered for too many years at the hands of the ayatollahs’ regime.”
Cardinal Burke continued: “…More

They have decided to hold peace talks. These are not direct talks, as the U.S. has the unpleasant habit of simply assassinating Iranian mediators. The Vice President of the United States is in no danger. Iran is a civilized country. It is the United States that has broken with a millennia-old tradition according to which envoys, even those of the enemy, are inviolable. The mediators from the two negotiating countries are not sitting face to face at a table.

Chaldean Catholic Church appoints new patriarch

Bishops of the Chaldean Catholic Church have elected Archbishop Emil Nona as the new patriarch following a meeting with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican, the patriarchate announced on Sunday.
“His Grace Bishop Emil Shimoun Nona was elected as Patriarch of the Chaldean Catholic Church, and he chose for himself Mar Paul Nona III as his patriarchal name,” the Chaldean Patriarchate said in a statement.
Nona, 58, led the Chaldean Archdiocese of Mosul before the city’s takeover by Islamic State (ISIS) jihadists in 2014, which forced him into exile. He was later appointed to lead the Chaldean Church in Australia and New Zealand.
He currently serves as the head of the diocese of Sydney.
The Chaldean church was rocked last month by the sudden resignation of longtime patriarch Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako, who announced that Pope Leo had accepted his resignation.
On Friday, the synod of Chaldean Catholic bishops met with Pope Leo at the Vatican as part of their meetings to elect a new patriarch.

According to the media outlet "The Pillar", Nona was a consensus candidate for the Chaldean bishops who supported Archbishop Warda, Archbishop of Erbil, a figure known in the United States for his relationship with the Knights of Columbus and an enemy of the former Patriarch Sako; and those who supported Bishop Yaldo, auxiliary bishop of Cardinal Sako himself.

Fides Et Ratio

The Church is precise here. A plenary indulgence on Divine Mercy Sunday requires the usual conditions of confession, Communion, prayer for the Holy Father, and complete detachment from sin. In addition, one must either participate in Divine Mercy devotions or, before the Blessed Sacrament, pray the Our Father and the Creed and add a prayer of trust in Jesus.
Other devotions often associated with this day are good and fruitful, but they are not required for the indulgence itself.

Divine Mercy Sunday: The Church’s Requirements for Its Plenary Indulgence - Fides et Ratio | Reflections on life from a theological and rational perspective

Divine Mercy Sunday: The Church’s Requirements for Its Plenary Indulgence
On Divine Mercy Sunday, the Church offers a plenary indulgence to the faithful. Over time, many additional devotions have become associated with this day. These are good and fruitful. But the Church herself is precise about what is actually required. Clarity matters, not to burden consciences, but to free them and to anchor devotion in what is real.
A plenary indulgence always includes the usual conditions. One must be in a state of grace and have complete detachment from all sin, even venial sin. One must receive Holy Communion, go to sacramental confession, and pray for the intentions of the Holy Father. Confession may take place within about twenty days before or after, though it is fitting to approach the sacrament close to the feast itself. These are not optional elements. They belong to the nature of a plenary indulgence as taught by the Church.¹
Divine Mercy Sunday also includes a specific work. The Apostolic …

Pope Leo XIV appoints anti-Catholic Francis’ ally for Argentine diocese

On 10 April, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Claudio Pablo Castricone as coadjutor bishop of the diocese of Orán in Argentina.
Born on 16 April 1958 in Villa Constitución, he was ordained a priest in 1984.
Monsignor Castricone has openly identified with Francis’s destructive programme for decades. The article's photograph shows him meeting Cardinal Bergoglio in Misiones, northern Argentina, in 2007.
Diocese of Orán: Ruined by Homosexual Leadership
The diocese of Orán is famous because it was led by the homosexual Gustavo Oscar Zanchetta, another close associate of Francis, from 2013 to 2017.
In 2017, Francis accepted Zanchetta’s resignation for 'health reasons' and soon after appointed him to a Vatican financial role. It later emerged that priests had reported Zanchetta to Rome for possessing pornographic images of young men on his phone. He was also notorious for financial misconduct and abuse of authority. Leo XIV Stuffed Media Dicastery with 🌈 Personnel

On April 9, 2026, the Holy See Press Office announced that Pope Leo XIV appointed the listed figures as members of the Dicastery for Communication:
Curia Cardinal Luis Tagle, 68, Philippines
He is considered emotionally instable and holds pro-homosexual views: “The harsh words that were used in the past to refer to homosexuals and divorced and separated people, the unwed mothers, et cetera, in the past they were quite severe,” Tagle told a Catholic youth conference in London in 2015.
In 2017, he led a social media initiative in the Philippines called the Lazarus Project, to call for homosexual acceptance in churches. In 2019, he called on Catholic youth to stop discriminating against homosexual people.
Furthermore, Cardinal Tagle believes that there is no all-encompassing answer to adultery: “Every situation for those who are divorced and remarried is quite unique. To have a general rule might be counterproductive in the end.”

Adventism: The Driving Force Behind the Dietary Guidelines

Up until a couple of months ago, when we paid a visit to Dr. Gary Fettke and his wife Belinda in Tasmania, our finger pointing at those to blame for the introduction of the catastrophic USDA dietary guidelines clearly singled out Ancel Keys and the McGovern Commission but we had never considered where they themselves got their ideas from. What influenced them? During her research to try to understand the driving force behind the relentless attacks on her husband, Dr. Gary Fettke, Belinda Fettke made the astounding discovery that it was, in fact, Seventh-Day-Adventism that was behind it all.
What’s even more incredible is that it is not some covert attempt to subliminally influence people to reject meat and saturated fats and adopt a vegetarian diet. If you ask anyone high up in the Adventism movement they will openly admit their beliefs about nutrition and their goals to influence the way the world eats in every way possible. Dr. John Harvey Kellogg grew up in the Adventist church …

Cardinal Hollerich Wants Female Subdeacons for the Liturgy

Pro-homosexual Luxembourg Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich has warned that the idea of female ordination would "currently" split the Church.
In an interview with VaticanNews.va on 10 April, Cardinal Hollerich referred to the divisions within the Anglican group following the appointment of Sarah Mullally.
According to the cardinal, any [impossible] change in access to ordained ministry must come through “the consensus of the whole Church,” not through isolated regional decisions.
However, Hollerich claimed a growing frustration among “many” women.
For him it is difficult to imagine a Church enduring long-term if “half of the People of God suffer because they have no access to ordained ministry.”
Asked about a possible timeline, Cardinal Hollerich said: “I leave that to the Holy Spirit.” In the meantime, he wants to expanding women’s roles in decision-making within the Church.
He has three women serving as episcopal delegates in his Archdiocese for consecrated life, the social sector,…More

Divine Mercy Sunday: "O King and victor," have mercy on us

For this Divine Mercy Sunday, we post a reflection from the book, Lent and Easter With the Church Fathers by Libreria Editrice Vaticana. It's by St. John Chrysostom from his "Homilies on the Gospel of Matthew." Keep in mind that as we enter this Easter season or Eastertide it lasts until Pentecost Sunday, that's 50 days. We must let the meaning of Easter transform our souls and hearts.
Just as Christ did not keep his divinity for himself, when he made himself man and offered himself as an innocent victim for the good of all, we too are called to do so for our brothers and sisters. But who are our brothers and sisters, who is our neighbour? Is it not enough to pray in the mornings and evenings and to go to Mass every Sunday? Is it not enough to obey the commandments and be good people? If it is enough, let’s ask the homeless in our cities, the women exploited on the corners, the children forced to deal drugs, the lonely sick and elderly persons, and the unemployed fathers with a family …

Strong and Steadfast

I guess the Roman Catholic Church was wrong and disobedient then throughout most of her history. And all the Eastern Churches are wrong and disobedient for using various forms of intinction and spoons and forbidding Eastern Catholics from touching the Eucharist with their hands, too. Doctors of the Church, the Early Church Fathers, popes, saints, and encyclicals throughout most of the Church's history were wrong, because they interpreted receiving on the tongue or directly in the mouth as "taking". Well, in that case I'm glad we have the extremely wise and prudent and charitable @chris griffin here, on this online forum, to tell us what the saints and popes and Fathers of the Church and Doctors of the Church were too ignorant to teach us, and to tell us about how we are being prideful for insisting on not desecrating the Eucharist with our hands.

Homily Sunday, April 12

Acts 2:42-47
“All who believed were together and had all things in common.”
What these people already had in common was Jesus Christ. They recognized in God, joy, peace, and love, and that he is always present, represented by the resurrection.
1 Peter 1:3-9
“God, in his great mercy gave us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
The resurrection is the sign that God raises us up to himself.
His love lifts us and propels us toward others to reveal to them the joy of God within them.

Bergoglio's Homosexual Subversion Already Began in Buenos Aires

The anti-Catholic Robert Prevost, in his continued rebellion against God and the Church, appoints the apostate Claudio Pablo Castricone—an ally of the anti-Catholic Bergoglio—to the former diocese of the homosexual Zanchetta.

Apostate Robert Prevost appoints the apostate French "bishop" and gay activist Joseph de Metz-Noblat, who replaced "Mother" and "Father" in the baptismal register.

Leo XIV Appoints French Bishop who Replaced 'Mother' and 'Father' in Baptism Register

Today, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Joseph de Metz-Noblat as the Bishop of Verdun in France.
Born on 6 February 1959 in Cherbourg, he studied civil law, philosophy, and theology. He obtained a licentiate in canon law from the Institut Catholique de Paris, and was ordained as a priest for the Diocese of Verdun in 1987. Leo XIV seems to favor the appointment of pro-homosexual canon lawyers.
Public Profile
In 2014, Francis appointed Monsignor Metz-Noblat as Bishop of the little-known diocese of Langres, in eastern France.
The anti-Catholic magazine Golias described him once as "turning to literature... and terribly bored". He avoids the limelight and is reluctant to take strong public positions.
However, he has been involved in one controversy: the baptism register reform in the French church.
