Paglia And His Academy Attack the Entire Sexual Moral

Melina was a co-worker with Cardinal Ratzinger at the CDF and then professor and president of the John Paul II Institute. Because he is an outstanding moral theologian, Francis dismissed him in 2019.
The hijacked academy opposes the Church’s condemnation of contraception as “intrinsically evil” and labels this rebellion as “theological progress,” Melina explains.
The book Theological Ethics of Life, published by the academy, considers it impossible to morally specify an act only by its object but considers even for intrinsically evil acts the circumstances and the subjective intention of the acting person.
This position is in "explicit contradiction” to John Paul II’s encyclicals, Melina explains, adding that Paglia's position denies “the possibility that absolutes exist in moral life," and downgrades a negative moral norm to a "first and distant point of reference for the subjective judgment of [lack of] conscience.”
He concludes that Paglia is not only undermining the Catholic teaching on contraception but attacking the Church’s entire sexual moral. Thus, Paglia is playing with man's eternal salvation.
