Mary was looking for Jesus, and Jesus is looking for us and calling out to us: Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will cool you down! He says to us: I stand at the door and knock! I, the Lord and Creator of heaven and earth, stand at the door of your heart as a beggar asking for alms, as a guilty man asking for mercy! I cry to your heart as a persecuted person to a defender, as a sick person to a doctor! I cry to your heart by inspiration, by word, by conscience, by example and by the cross. We have lost Jesus in our joys and pleasures, amidst tears and grief we will find Him! Let us take Mary as our guide. She will teach us: how, – She will show us: where to seek and find Jesus.
