Meat giants are shutting down production. Tyson will be shutting down 4 plants at the beginning of 2024 and Smithfield will be closing 35 farms in Missouri. What's happening, and what does this mean for meat prices and shortages going into 2024?

My uncle is a doctor (Cardiologist), but he mentioned many times that too much red meat is bad for the digestion, and eaten too frequently (including Big Mac's, etc.) can cause high cholesterol, and even cancer down the line. Mediterranean diet seems to be the healthiest, as well as Chinese and Japanese cuisene. USA and British among the worst. Sorry....I looked it up to verify.🤪

A lot of the younger generations seem to not eat much meat. It (meat eating) may disappear over the next century organically without government/ corporate action.
