Squatters: Bishop Calls Police - Where Is Cardinal Krajewski?

Ten (!) years ago, two women disguised as nuns asked a priest for "temporary accommodation" and were given an empty rectory in Trevi nel Lazio, a town near Rome.

The two nestled in - and stayed. One even brought her mother along. All attempts at an amicable settlement failed.

Repubblica.it reports (21 October) that in the meantime both the electricity and the water have been cut off in the building, but the women still live there. Apparently, the two impostors forgot to call Cardinal Krajewski to reconnect the electricity.

Recently, the bishop instructed the parish priest to ask the police for help to get rid of the squatters.

There are similar cases all over Italy.
