When he received them he made a promise to meet with the Soldiers who gifted him Icons which saved their lives.As President Putin does not celebrate his birthday and every year tells his people not to make a fuss, some still do.
But the greatest gifts he received were the Icons which showed bullet marks that saved the lives of the men. And he promised he would meet them personally. And as usual, he kept that promise.
