Dan 2:31-45
King Nebuchadnezzar's dream reminds us to take our time, to build slowly, little by little each day, to reach our goal.

And half of the way through, we don't worry if we find it's not fast or effective enough. We continue to move forward one day at a time, one step at a time.

Lk 21:5-11
"While some people were speaking about how the temple was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings, Jesus says, “All that you see here—the days will come when there will not be left a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down.'"

Of course, we saw the destruction of the Temple in 60 AD.

But here Jesus goes beyond the earthly sense. What is earthly will pass away, what is of God remains: Love, peace, joy, life.

Let us live in this moment and not in the past nor the future, nor for what will be destroyed anyway.
