Christians in Jihadi Syria: Western Regime Media Hush Up the Brutal Reality (Video)

Eva Bartlett, a Syria specialst and independent journalist, reports on SubStack.com (@evakarenebartlett) that Alawites and Christians are facing ethnic cleasing at the hands of HTS jihadists.

HTS terrorists accounts share videos of civilians being tortured in Homs countryside, accusing them of being Alawite or Christian, framing it as "revenge".

A video surfaced showing buses being divided into two sections, with women in the back of the bus and men in front, indicating that mixing the sexes is now prohibited.

A systematic campaign of intimidation targets Christians in Syria.

The Hagia Sophia Church in Al-Suqaylabiyah, Hama, was permanently closed on 4 January after verbal threats. Last December, it was vandalised by HTS jihadists (video).

A Christian family was killed, and a Christmas tree was burned.

Armed assaults have occurred daily since December 8, including shootings and threats. Property confiscations and systematic attempts to force residents to leave.

HTS terrorists have shut down the iconic Jabr alcohol store in the Christian Old City district of Bab Toma in Damascus. Terrorists were reportedly carrying black flags and threatened the owner's life if he didn't close his shop.

In the ancient Christian town of Maaloula, the only town in Syria where inhabitants still speak the ancient language of Aramaic, has been under siege for two weeks, reducing its population from 1,000 to just 200.

Maaloula was occupied by the same terrorists from September 2013 to May 2014 and the destruction they meted out was devastating.

There is a massive displacement of Maaloula’s residents to the Lebanese-Syrian border.

There are attacks on churches in several cities across Syria.

A HTS jihadist rode a horse with an ISIS banner through Qassaa, a predominantly Christian area to threaten coexistence and fuelling division.

A video appeared on Telegram showing a jihadist in front of a statue of Jesus Christ at St Takla Monastery, Maaloula, Syria. The jihadist says: “Who is this guy?”

The martyrdom and painful passion of the Church there in that torn and wounded land has begun. May God’s sustaining and empowering Presence be gloriously revealed in their midst, and may their blood water and nourish the seeds of countless Converts. Christ is KING!!!!!

That’s all well and good, but they could also use weapons to defend themselves.
