Jeremiah 23:5-8“As the Lord lives, who brought the descendants of the house of Israel up from the land of the north.”
The living Lord is with every person. Every person can benefit from the Lord’s presence.
Matthew 1:18-24
“When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.”
Joseph has the attitude of a true disciple. He listens, he discerns, and he realizes that it is truly the Lord who is speaking to him and inviting him to the mission. He accepts, and this is confirmed: “He took Mary home as his wife.”
