Today is the feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is an Ember Day, which means today is a Day of Fast & Partial Abstinence. A Day of Fast means only one full meal is allowed, at which meat can be taken. Two other meatless meals, which together are less than the full meal, are also permitted. A Day of Partial Abstinence means that meat (and soup or gravy made with meat) can only be eaten once.
Below is a traditional Catholic Calendar which Catholics should follow. You can print it out. It shows all the fast days, days of abstinence & feast days of saints. When printing, make sure to look at the print preview & choose "fit to page", otherwise the calendar might not print correctly. If you print it out in color, the days of Fast & Abstinence will be highlighted.
