On that day...
Most days I look for the shortest line at the grocery checkout. But not when the 3yo has - somehow without me realizing it - taken the lid (and inner seal!!) off a jar of honey and placed it in the top of the cart upside down. On that day I look for the line with the friendliest-looking cashier. Thank you, Kroger lady, you are a credit to your profession.
"Would you like us to get you another jar of honey?"
"No, just grab me something from the wine aisle."
