Archbishop Seeks Refuge with Heirs of Communist Party

Italian Archbishop Erio Castellucci, 63, of Modena has become a contributor to L’Unità. The daily was founded in 1924 as the official newspaper of the Italian Communist Party and later supported the Communists' successor, the party Partito Democratico.

In his column, Castellucci writes a justification for his involvement in the Casarini scandal. A group of Italian bishops was caught paying Luca Casarini, a left-wing activist, to traffic illegal immigrants into Italy.

We must assume Archbishop Castellucci was never instructed that Church teaching is against communism or he just doesn’t care. Yes, Fratelli Tutti or comrades tutti

I think Archbishop Erio Castellucci is toast....as are Parolin, Hollerich, the other bishops involved in this scandal, and also Francis (the chief player).
