Nearly $1 Million from US Bishops Tied to Abortion and Gender Ideology

LepantoIn.org accuses the U.S. bishops of indirectly supporting organizations that promote abortion, contraception, and gender ideology.

The report, published on November 6, focuses on the bishops’ "anti-poverty" program, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.

Since 2004, it has given 16 grants totaling $760,000 to the United Workers Association (UWA), which is based in Baltimore. This includes $25,000 for the 2024–25 funding cycle.

According to the report, the UWA supports LGBT causes, including publicly funded gender transition procedures.

UWA is the fiscal sponsor of a group "Put People First" that support abortion and transvestism. In 2017, they wrote: "We're out supporting Planned Parenthood! Reproductive justice is a right!"

The UWA is linked to calls for police defunding during the 2020 protests and has collaborated with extremist socialist organizations.

Michael Hichborn, president of the Lepanto Institute, writes that he informed the bishops’ conference as early as 2011 about the UWA's support for homosexual "marriage" campaigns. Despite the produced evidence, the bishops’ funding continued.

It's THE reason why Leo has ordered the U. S. bishops to oppose Pres. Trump. They need him gone so the federal funds can flow again to these groups in order to destroy this country. Seems the old "Know-Nothing Party" of 19th century America was right after all - the "church" IS out to undermine our Republic! 😭 😤

You are absolutely wrong to make that statement. I would not be surprised to hear it from a confused Protestant, but never from someone who considers themselves an orthodox Catholic. If I have misunderstood you in any way I sincerely apologize.
The “Catholic Church” is the Mystical Body of Christ and is never wrong! She is not the Vatican, the popes, bishops or priests. Certainly the earthly leader of the Church, the pope, is the Vicar of Christ and is expected to follow the authentic teachings of Jesus Christ so as to lead us to salvation. But he and the other Church leaders are as human as you and I in every respect including sin. But like the rest of us all will one day answer to God
The confusion for us all, of course, has been Vatican II. Satanic forces opened the door for the Second Vatican Council and allowed Modernist leaders of the Church to create their diabolically-inspired Conciliar-based religion that the Modernist popes and bishops sinfully follow, rather than the authentic teachings, practices and beliefs of the Catholic Church. All of us, of course, have been greatly misled since that time.
The entire scheme of Satan has been deviously brilliant which should surprise no one. Nevertheless, we as faithful Catholics must resist the clever devices he throws at us (such as convincing us that the “Catholic Church” is wrong) and focus myopically on rejectIng all such distractions and following the Truth found only in the authentic teachings of the pre-Vatican II Catholic Church.
Each of us will do that in our own way, but speaking for myself, I have only found that Truth being taught, exclusively, in the chapels of the SSPX.

@Irishpol I agree with what you wrote. That's why I put "church' in lowercase in my post because I wasn't referring to the ACTUAL Church of Christ - the One, Holy, Catholic & Apostolic Church in the Eternal city Rome but the synodal modernist nu-church of Vatican II. That's the entity that schemes to take down any government in the world NOT on board with the globalist plan. And for anyone paying attention, yes many "bishops" approve this as did Francis and as Leo does from their many, many public statements!
