Even EWTN Admits, Two years ago the "discovery of mass graves" at the sites of former residential schools in Canada made front page news all around the world. The story spread like wildfire and was carried as fact in many outlets. The Pope was forced to apologies... Now, after a number of excavations, no human remains have been found, and there are currently no plans to excavate further. This has lead many to believe the story was false.

In the residential schools, as I understand it, there were many people who died, children as well as adults (religious as well as Native people who came to try to get help for illnesses which were rampant at the time; tuberculosis, small pox, and many other illnesses due to malnutrition and the Natives …More
This was an excellent, excellent report. Thank you so much for trying to set the record straight. In the residential schools, as I understand it, there were many people who died, children as well as adults (religious as well as Native people who came to try to get help for illnesses which were rampant at the time; tuberculosis, small pox, and many other illnesses due to malnutrition and the Natives not having immunity to illnesses for which Europeans had immunity). Also it was believed, at the time, unfortunately, that in order to help Natives to be integrated into the Canadian culture, they had to renounce their language and customs.
